Meghna Dassani, DMD, is passionate about helping patients with sleep-disordered breathing get the treatment they need to live healthier, happier lives. Throughout her career, she has gained invaluable insight into what it takes to implement those services into her practice. And currently, she shares her knowledge and experience in her role as a speaker. Dr. Dassani is an international speaker who strives to leave audiences with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver sleep apnea treatments.

Before attending the Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University, Dr. Dassani operated a successful dental practice in Mumbai, India. For the past 17 years, she has been practicing in Houston, Texas where she continues to enhance her knowledge of obstructive sleep apnea.

Dr. Tara Erson never imagined that less than 10 years out of dental school teeth would no longer be her focus, but tongues, jaws, and airways have become her passion. She was introduced to tongue-tie while attending La Leche League meetings with her first child. As time went on she began to see how negatively ties impacted breastfeeding and so much more.

Over the last 4 years Dr. Tara has completed over 450 hours of continuing education in the areas of ties, function, airway, and interceptive ortho. In 2018 she started Smart Mouth – a team-based practice dedicated to all things related to the tongue. Dr. Tara shares her time between the office and home with her husband, Cliff, and three sons, Kale, Rye, and Sage.

Dr. Alfred Maksoud earned his medical degree at the American University of Beirut Faculty of Medicine in Lebanon. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Then, he served as chief fellow at his fellowship in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Maksoud is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. He has been in private practice in Houston since 1997. Dr. Maksoud’s philosophy is to offer the highest quality, comprehensive, state-of-the-art care to each patient.

Dr. Christopher Tran is a Southern California native. He has a degree in psychology from the University of Southern California and a medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville. He completed his otolaryngology (ENT) residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. And he is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery. Currently, he lives with his wife and son, Tristan, in Houston, Texas, where they love the city’s diverse food offerings.

Dr. Tran has a comprehensive ENT practice with an interest in breathing-related surgery and in-office procedures. He enjoys collaborating with local healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and is passionate about educating and empowering students and patients.

Dr. Parker has educated thousands of clinicians across the US and internationally. In that time, he has advocated for increased standards in aesthetic and restorative procedures, minimally invasive techniques, and dental technology. Having taught over 1000 hours in didactic course as well as 800+ hours of hands-on surgical courses, Dr. Parker is well versed in teaching and hands-on training. In addition to speaking and training, he has written or is listed on over 30 patents or patents-pending and has published many articles in a variety of dental journals.

In 2011, after sixteen years of dental practice experience, Dr. Parker transitioned from clinical dentistry into leadership roles in the dental industry and most recently serves as the Vice President of Clinical Affairs for DEKA Dental Lasers, where he oversees all clinical education, hands-on in-office clinical laser training, and emerging technology applications.

Dr. Parker has a deep, hands-on understanding of dental aesthetics, lasers, implants, functional reconstruction, and dental technologies. His professional affiliations include or have included: The Academy of Laser Dentistry, Academy of RV Tucker Study Clubs, The American Dental Association, American Society for Dental Aesthetics (accredited), and The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. When not teaching, he enjoys spending time with his family, riding his bicycle, playing music, and woodworking.

Autumn R. Henning, MS, CCC-SLP, COM®️️, IBCLC is a certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She is a Certified Orofacial Myologist®️️ through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders.

Autumn is the owner of Chrysalis Orofacial in Greenville, SC. It is the first and only clinic of its kind in the region. Autumn specializes in orofacial function and development throughout the lifespan. She works with infants to adults at her private practice.

Christina has worked in the dental field for over 20 years and has experience in all aspects of the front office. She finds enjoyment in getting to know patients and helping them achieve their dream smiles. Christina has worked at Dassani Dentistry since the doors opened twelve years ago. She has enjoyed seeing the practice grow, developing incredible patient relationships, and working with the rest of the team.
